Keith Meister, MD, is set to perform elbow surgery on Manuel Rodríguez, a pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays, on Aug. The surgery is expected to repair Mr. Rodríguez’s flexor tendon in his right elbow. In addition, Dr. Meister will evaluate Mr. Rodríguez’s ulnar collateral ligament during the procedure to determine if Tommy John surgery is necessary, according to a July 26 news release from mlb.com.
